SimonAtebaNews learnt that the Agatu people, most of them farmers, were allegedly killed by Fulani herdsmen who claimed that the Agatu people allegedly killed about 10, 000 of their cattle. The Agatu people alleged that the cattle allegedly destroyed their farms.
Violence ensued and here are the pictures. President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered that an investigation be carried out. He said it will prevent further occurrences. It is not the first time that such violence between herdsmen and local communities is unleashed in Nigeria. Often no one is punished. Investigations often lead nowhere.
