VIRTUAL Gains 6% on AI Token Momentum, Nvidia’s NemoClaw

Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) gained 6% over 24 hours to $0.7032 as AI momentum buoyed bargain-hunting in selected altcoins.  The rally was fueled by a broader AI token surge, sparked by positive news from Nvidia and strong internal metrics.

With a market capitalisation of $462 million, Virtual’s trading volume surged by about 40% over the last 24 hours to $120 million, according to data from a crypto exchange.

The Virtuals Protocol team reported a 128% increase in agent transactions over two weeks, with Epoch 2 of its incentives program generating $2.8 million in agent-to-agent revenue.

This is bullish for VIRTUAL because it ties price appreciation to tangible, growing network utility. The spike in agent transactions and revenue suggests genuine demand and adoption within its AI agent ecosystem, providing a solid foundation for moving beyond mere speculation.

Multiple social media posts on March 10 highlighted Virtuals Protocol’s initiative to distribute up to $1 million monthly in rewards to users who have interacted with its AI agents.

This direct incentive mechanism aims to boost ecosystem activity and user acquisition. The program creates a tangible use case and demand driver for the token, translating community engagement into potential buying pressure.

The entire AI token category rose about 4.8% on March 10, driven by a Wired report that Nvidia is developing an open-source AI agent platform called “NemoClaw.”

Tokens like Bittensor (TAO) and NEAR Protocol led the gains. The immediate catalyst is the reward program, but the broader AI narrative has a key upcoming event: Nvidia’s GTC conference begins March 17, where NemoClaw is expected to be unveiled.

Holding the $0.70 support is crucial for continuation; a breakout above $0.75 could target the $0.78 resistance. The risk case is a $0.68 loss, which may lead to a retracement to $0.65.

The combination of a direct ecosystem incentive and powerful sector narrative has propelled VIRTUAL higher. Sustaining this move requires the protocol to demonstrate real user growth from its rewards program.

VIRTUAL was included in a shortlist of five altcoins that analysts are monitoring for potential 500% breakouts, as capital rotation into altcoins shows early signs.

VIRTUAL’s narrative is firmly hitched to the AI boom, with recent news highlighting both its speculative appeal in an altcoin rotation and its fundamental growth in agent activity.
